Doctors stunned after man presents at Tallaght Hospital with fluid build up after self injecting himself with his own SEMEN to treat back pain




Doctors at a major Dublin hospital were left perplexed after a patient presented himself complaining of fluid build up in his arm after he injected himself with semen as self treatment for his back pain.

According to The Irish Medical Journal, the case which was highlighted at Tallaght Hospital when the man told doctors that he was injection himself with his own semen in order to treat his back pain.

The Irish Medical Journal say the patient revealed to the doctors that he had been undergoing the self administered treatment for the past year.

It is reported that the man decided to purchase a hypodermic needle and injected himself with his own seminal fluid on a monthly basis.

The rather unusual case also highlighted that the man believed that his treatment method was an innovative method for curing back pain.

Upon a medical examination doctors investigating the case say they found that the man’s semen had leaked into his soft tissue which ultimately led to the fluid build up.

The Irish Medical Journal say the publication of the case was required in order to highlight the dangers of so called self treatment procedures.
