Donnelly announces that first Covid-19 vaccines in Ireland will be administered on December 30th




The Minister for Health Stephen Donnelly has confirmed that the first Covid-19 vaccines in Ireland will be administered on December 30th.

Speaking this afternoon Donnelly confirmed that Ireland will receive 10,000 doses of the vaccine on St Stephen’s Day.

The Health Minister also confirmed that frontline health workers and those living in nursing homes will receive the vaccine first.

He added that it is hoped that 30,000 residents living in nursing homes will be vaccinated at some stage in February.
