Doonbeg locals hope for President Trump visit to express gratitude for the billionaire businessman turned leader of the free world

The citizens of Doonbeg, County Clare are hoping that the U.S President will visit the picturesque town when he arrives in Ireland on Wednesday.

President Trump will arrive in Shannon Airport aboard Air Force One on Wednesday following his three-day state visit to the UK before travelling via his presidential helicopter, Marine One, to his coastal golf resort near the village of Doonbeg.

Locals of Doonbeg have praised the billionaire businessman turned Leader of the Free World for bringing employment and tourism to the town and hope that a visit from the President will be another boost for the west County Clare village.

They are also hoping to express their gratitude to President Trump for everything his business has done for their community.

President Trump’s exact schedule has not been revealed but it is known that he is due to meet the Taoiseach at Shannon airport before he will travel to Trump International Golf Links & Hotel in Doonbeg.
