America’s leading immunologist Dr Anthony Fauci has taken a Covid-19 vaccine and has said he is confident in its safety.
Speaking following his shot at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Bethesda, Maryland, on Tuesday, Dr Fauci who serves as the head of the NIH said he took the shot for two reasons.
Following a thumbs up after taking the vaccine, Fauci said he took the vaccine for two reasons with one being that he treated patients at the facility.
Whilst the other reason was that he wanted to give everyone who has the opportunity to get vaccinated encouragement.
He added that he has full confidence in the vaccine’s safety and efficacy.
