The car giant Mercedes has announced that they’ll be recalling 1 million cars worldwide in the coming weeks after spontaneous fires broke out in some of their models.
Up to 60 cars went on fire for no reason with thankfully no casualties being reported.
Irish and UK Mercedes cars are built in the same factory in Germany.
Already 75,000 UK Mercedes cars have already been recalled which would indicate that Irish Mercedes cars will be recalled also.
The models effected are the C-Class and the E-Class. Drivers are advised to contact their dealer to see if their car is affected.
