The Taoiseach Leo Varadkar is set to arrive in Drogheda today as the 2018 Fleadh Cheoil enters its final stages.
According to The Irish Mirror newspaper, Mr Varadkar will arrive in the town later today to view a number of traditional events.
The visit will cap off what has already been a successful week for the town as hundreds of thousands of visitors have decsended on the town to enjoy the best of Irish music and dance.
Mr Varadkar’s visit to the town will be the second high profile visit within a week as President Michael D Higgins opened the event on Sunday.
The festival has already been deemed a major success as the town experienced a record number of visitors in recent days, whilst local businesses have enjoyed a welcome boost in trade.
