Dublin could be living with higher level restrictions with pubs closed and number of household visitors reduced

Dublin could potentially have a higher level of restrictions than the rest of the country following Tuesday’s Cabinet meeting about the Covid-19 roadmap.

Although no official decisions have yet been made the capital could potentially see pubs closed for a while longer as the number of cases rise.

Meanwhile the restrictions on visitors to households could be changed with no more than six people from two households meeting in the one household.

It is believed that changes could occur as the National Public Health Emergency Team has become concerned with the rise in cases in the county over the past number of weeks.

The news comes after it was confirmed that Garda patrols will be increased in the capital following the rise in cases.
