Dublin Fire Brigade have confirmed that one of the items stolen form a unit in Cabra on Sunday evening has been returned to them by a member of the public.
In an announcement made on Twitter, Dublin Fire Brigade confirmed that a rescue saw was returned to them at a station in Phibsborough this afternoon.
Dublin Fire Brigade thanked the member of the the public for returning the item after he came across someone trying to sell it to him.
Meanwhile they are still a searching another piece of equipment which was stolen during the emergency call out.
At lunchtime a tradesman contacted us to say that he had been offered the DeWalt rescue saw. After some persuasion, they convinced the "seller" to hand it over and subsequently dropped it back to Phibsborough Station.
