
A man was attacked in Dublin’s downtown and sent to the hospital, reports The Mirror.
On Thursday evening, November 7, emergency services and the Gardai were dispatched to the site in Talbot Street in Dublin 1.
After receiving treatment on the spot, the victim—a male in his 20s—was transported to Mater Hospital, where it was determined that his injuries were not life-threatening, reports The Mirror.
A technological analysis of the scene has been finished in the hours following the occurrence.
As they continue their investigation into the alleged attack, the Gardai have blocked off a portion of the city centre roadway immediately off Joyce’s Walk.
In a statement to the Mirror, a garda spokesperson said: “Gardaà are investigating an alleged assault which occurred on Talbot Street, Dublin 1 last night, Thursday, 7th November 2024. A man (20s) was brought to the Mater Hospital to be treated for injuries which are believed to be non-life-threatening. Investigations are ongoing,” reports The Mirror.
