According to RTE, Sarah Lewis said her 3-yr-old daughter Holly de Ella was lucky to be alive after she was hit by a scrambler in Seán Walsh Park in Tallaght on Good Friday.

The child suffered a broken shoulder and lacerations to her face.

Ms. Lewis said that she was walking in the park with her mother, her daughter and her newborn son at the time and she described seeing two men on their scrambler bikes.

He hit her from behind, she said. He threw her upside down and the bike went over her back, shoulder and head.

She said the riders left the scene without saying a word. She said that her daughter is lucky to be alive and that she calls for such scramblers to be banned in an effort to stop further such incidents happening in the future.
