Dublin mountains murder: Victim may have been killed over land dispute

The body of 64-year-old Michael McCoy was found in the Dublin mountains on Friday morning.

A search for him got underway after he failed to return from walking his dogs early on Thursday morning. A post-mortem examination revealed that he had suffered several blows to the head.

It is now believed that Mc. McCoy may have been killed due to a dispute over land.

A 41-year-old man, who was known to the deceased, was arrested in connection with the incident. He is currently being held for questioning at Tallaght Garda Station.
