A 41-year-old man shot in the Walkinstown area of Dublin this morning was likely not the intended target, according to Gardai.
It is understood that a lone gunman walked into a scrapyard on the Greenhills road in Walkinstown at around 11.35am today.
He discharged the weapon a number of times, hitting his victim at least once.
The victim is currently in a critical condition in hospital.
