Dublin’s Metro hotel is set to open its doors again on Tuesday, almost 24 months after the old building was consumed by flames.
The hotel, located in the Ballymun area of the capital, was almost completely destroyed when a blaze broke out on March 21, 2018. One hundred and fifty residents were safely evacuated at the time.
Owners have spent €20m in refurbishing the facility, which will cater for much-needed 50 permanent and 10 part-time jobs.
