Dundalk attacker Mohamed Morei to be given psychological support whilst in Garda custody 




The man charged with the murder of a Japanese man in Dundalk on Wednesday afternoon is to receive psychological treatment whilst in custody Gardai have confirmed.

Mohamed Morei aged 18, has been officially charged with the murder of 24 year old Japanese national Yosuke Sasaki who was brutally stabbed in the Avenue Road area of the town. 

Mr Morei who appeared before Dundalk District Court on Thursday evening is also facing further charges after two other men were attacked on Wednesday afternoon. 

Although Gardai have yet to determine Mr Morei’s motives for the attacks they have confirmed he will remain in custody were he will receive psychological treatment. 

Mr Morei is due to appear before Cloverhill District Court next week.
