Dundalk residents to hold candlelight vigil to honour the memory of Japanese man who was brutally stabbed to death

The people of Dundalk Co Louth will hold a candle light vigil early next week to honour the memory of the victim of Wednesday’s horrifying attack.

In an announcement today the Dundalk Municipal District confirmed that a vigil will be held to honour 24-year-old Yosuke Sasaki who was brutally stabbed whilst walking on the Avenue Road area of the town on Wednesday morning.

In a brief statement the Dundalk Municipal District announced the vigil will take place at the Maid of Eireann statue outside Dundalk Courthouse on Monday evening from 7 to 8pm.

They also say all those who wish to pay their respects to Mr Sasaki are welcome to attend.
