The Mandate trade union conducted a ballot in which over two thirds of staff voted in favor of industrial action, after the company allegedly refused to engage with union representatives.
The row is focused on working and pay conditions.
Mandate announced that its strike committee will meet next Tuesday to discuss what form the action might take.
Union representatives are still calling for Dunnes management to enter negotiations to prevent the looming strike.
