An early weather forecast seems to point to milder conditions on Sunday, but turning bitterly cold again by Tuesday.
According to the national forecaster, Sunday and Monday will bring more normal temperatures for the time of year in Ireland, with the thermometers expected to climb to double digits.
The respite will be short-lived however, as colder weather will set in again from the middle of the week.
