Easter 2018 set to be a washout, as heavy rain, sleet, and some snow flurries will spread countrywide from today




Easter 2018 will be a total washout, as the forecast for the next few days talks of heavy rain, sleet, and snow flurries.

Today, Wednesday, will bring a mix of sunshine and showers, with temperatures reaching 8C at best.

Tonight will be rather clear and cold night, with sharp frost developing everywhere as air temperatures sink below freezing.

The forecast for tomorrow is no better, with heavy rain and sleet mixed with some periods of sunshine.

Looking ahead at Easter weekend, the outlook is for very cold and showery weather nationwide.
