Eir have confirmed that they will be investing an extra €150m on upgrading their 4G mobile network.
The move comes as the telecommunications company say they aim to provide reliable and fast 4G mobile services to 99% of the country.
It is expected the investment will take at least two years to complete, with a number of stations located across the country being upgraded in order to provide an expansive 4G network.
The company also say the investment will see a number of Ireland’s biggest cities and towns being upgraded to 5G services from next year onwards.
