An elderly man was found dead on the side of the road in Monaghan earlier today.
The man, believed to be in his 80s, was found near a crashed car in Carnaveigh, Castleblayney, at around 4pm this afternoon.
The driver of the crashed vehicle, a woman in her 20s, was not injured. Gardai are unsure whether or not the two incidents are linked.
