The tragic trend of road deaths continues today, after an elderly motorist died when his car hit a wall in Co. Roscommon.
The incident happened near the village of Ballyforan in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
The fatality, a man in his 70s, survived the crash but later died in hospital. A female passenger did not sustain any injuries.
