Gardaí in Dublin have confirmed that an elderly woman is in serious condition in hospital after she was struck by a motorbike on Monday evening.
It is understood the woman aged in her 70s was struck by the bike shortly after she got off a bus on Ballinteer Avenue.
Gardaí say the woman was immediately rushed to St James’s Hospital where she currently remains in serious condition.
Meanwhile the motorcyclist was taken to St Vincent’s Hospital for treatment on minor injuries.
Gardaí say an investigation is currently ongoing.
