An 86-year-old woman has sadly died after she was struck by a car in Sligo last night.
It is understood that the elderly woman was crossing the Bundoran Road which is just outside the town at approximately 6.40pm yesterday evening when she was struck.
She was taken to Sligo Regional Hospital where she was sadly pronounced dead.
Gardai say investigations into the accident are currently ongoing.
