
The leader of the Sinn Féin party Gerry Adams has said he fully believes that this general election will represent a significant change in Irish politics as it is the first time that voters have a real alternative.
Mr Adams who made his comments recently said that he hopes to dislodge the established political elites that are currently dominating Irish politics.
The Sinn Fein leader told reporters: “It’s an important debate, this is an election which, for the first time, certainly in my lifetime, there is a viable alternative to these old parties and their old ways.”
“The golden circle and the elites, you know, they’ve all had their chance.”
