After years of lies, broken promises, and unashamed greed, the major political parties are understandably failing to make any headway in the days before the election.

The latest poll suggests that a hung Dáil is the most likely outcome of Friday’s vote.

Fine Gel remains stagnant at 30%, Labour is down to 7% (or 6%, depending on who you ask), while Fianna Fail stands at 20%.

Meanwhile, Sinn Fein’s support appears to be nosediving too, after a number of controversies involving Gerry Adams came to light, and now stands at 15%.

Independents’ support remains unchanged, at a significant 28%. This sector includes the Independent Alliance 2pc, Anti-Austerity Alliance-People Before Profit 3pc, Social Democrats 4pc, Renua 2pc and Green Party 3pc.
