The Fianna Fail leader has this evening completely ruled out power-sharing with arch-nemesis Enda Kenny, even if the voters create a hung Dáil.

Mr. Martin said ‘it’s not a consideration.’

Earlier today, it was suggested that both parties could run the country on a ‘rotating Taoiseach’ basis, but again Mr. Martin said ‘it’s not a practical possibility.’

Opinion polls suggest that neither Fine Gael nor Fianna Fail will get an outright majority on Friday’s election, while Labour is almost certain to cease existing as a political force.
