It took six counts, but it appears that Labour’s Alan Kelly has just about managed to keep his Dáil seat after several transfers ensured he had enough votes.
Mr. Kelly said that there would be questions raised about party leadership in the wake of the Labour debacle, but that “now was not the time.”
Instead, he said ‘rebuilding of Labour starts tomorrow.’
