It’s been a disastrous election result for Lucinda Creighton’s party, Renua, as it has failed to secure a single seat in the new Dáil. Furthermore, Ms. Creighton herself has lost her seat in Dublin Bay South.
Before the election, the party had high hopes to win 10 seats, and fielded 26 candidates altogether.
Though the party has failed to ignite people’s desire for vote, Ms. Creighton’s husband and party colleague Senator Paul Bradford has said that the party is a ‘long term project’, and that its failure this time around does not signal Renua’s demise.
