In what turned into a complete shouting match, the latest “Leaders Debate” resulted in Claire Byrne’s voice being heard more times than anyone else.
Between Enda Kenny being called a liar, to Micheal Martin being told he was the worst Minister for Health in history, the debate rapidly descended into a shouting match.
Social media users weren’t happy:
One quipped “Had to turn off the L.D. way too much shouting and no substance from anyone”.
Another said:
“Without Claire Byrne, I’d say it’d turn to blows, the whole thing is a shambles.”
Joan Burton had another particularly bad night, as did her coalition partner Enda Kenny.
The latest opinion polls show Labour will be decimated on February 26th, while it’s looking increasingly likely that Fine Gael will be in government with Fianna Fail.
