The Taoiseach Leo Varadkar has said that he welcomes RTÉ’s decision to allow Sinn Féin leader Mary Lou McDonald on tonight’s Prime Time Leaders debate.
According to RTÉ News, the who was speaking in Limerick, said Ms McDonald’s inclusion will give others the opportunity to scrutinise the party’s manifesto.
Varadkar who will also be appearing on the show, has been highly critical of Sinn Féin’s plans to hand no carbon tax, no property tax, and the reduction of USC.
The Taoiseach claimed that Sinn Féin’s plans are unrealistic and won’t work in the long term saying that all of the above couldn’t be covered by taxing big businesses.
