Taoiseach Leo Varadkar has contacted Fianna Fail leader Micheal Martin to discuss a possible date for the upcoming general election.
It is understood that the two men will meet later in the week to talk about the election and other issues.
Micheal Martin recently predicted that he’d be Taoiseach ‘within five years’, so the meeting is presumably geared towards giving Mr. Martin his go at the top job.
