Elon Musk has become the richest person in the world with a net worth of over $ 185 billion.
Thursday’s Tesla share price surge ousted Musk far beyond Jeff Bezos, who has been the richest person since 2017 and is currently valued at around $184 billion. Musk’s rise in wealth over the past year marks the fastest rise to the top of the rich list in history and marks a dramatic financial turnaround for the famous headline-grabbing businessman.
Musk started 2020 with around $27 billion and was barely one of the 50 richest people. His wealth went up around six fold over the past 12 months.
