A number of people have been taken to hospital following serious road traffic incident on the N52 near the Monaghan/Louth border.
It is understood the two vehicle collision occurred shortly after 3pm just outside Ardee.
Gardaí say a number of units from Louth and Monaghan fire service attended the scene.
They added that the injured have been taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda.
