Emergency services issue warning to the public to not leave their helpless pooch locked in a car during the current heatwave and to ensure they have water and are in the shade

Emergency services have reminded people not to leave their pets in their car without leaving water with them and leaving the window open.

Pets need to be in the shade at all times during the extreme heat and need to have as much water as possible.

Likewise, they say that pets need to be checked on to ensure that they’re comfortable and that they’re ok during the heatwave.
