Emergency services have rescued a woman from the water in the south of the country.
The woman was spotted in the River Blackwater at Lovers Leap in Mallow, Co. Cork, at around 7pm on Thursday evening.
Gardai, aided by the Coast Guard Helicopter 115, managed to rescue the woman. She was airlifted to Cork University Hospital for treatment.
