Actor Sam Gannon has died suddenly in the US at the age of just 31.
According to the Metro, Sam Gannon died while he was visiting family in California. Police are not treating his death as suspicious. During his career he had several acting roles but his big break came when he won the part of Kev in Emmerdale in January 2019.
Gannon’s sister Amy described him as “a whirlwind”, someone who was a “unique character.” She also said that it was clear that Gannon touched the lives of many people, judging by the number of tributes they received since his death.
The family have now set up a crowdfunding campaign to cover the costs of bringing the actor’s body home and they say that any excess funds will be donated to a charity the supports youth theatre.
