Christopher Fitzpatrick spoke candidly last night to Claire Byrne about the nightmare situation he faced when his daughter Amy went missing on New Year’s Day 2008 and then again when his son Dean was murdered.

ā€œMy life has never been the same, itā€™s never been the same like”, Christopher said.

ā€œAmy had a devotion, with me like, we had a good connection. I say, she used to tell me stuff and Iā€™d tell her stuff and if she you know…Ā  she wouldnā€™t do anything bad around me or anything like that, she was a good girl like, you know?ā€

“All we want is Amy homeā€¦ if she is alive somewhere we just want her homeā€.

Christopher continued: “Amy was a lovely child, she was very caring, she even collected money for the hospice at one time like, you know? She loved her pets and stuff like that, her ambition was to be a vet and obviously that sheā€™s not around she wonā€™t get to do anything like that.ā€

ā€œThe fight still goes on for Amy obviously to find out where she is and what happened to her like, weā€™d like people to come forward like that, you know, havenā€™t come forward before that have information about the situation, and about Amy.ā€

He went into detail as to how his son Dean was killed by his mother’s husband, Dave Mahon. Christopher said his life was torn apart. He has once again appealed for all or any help in finding his daughter Amy. He said he believes that people know more than they’re letting on.
