The wet spell that has blighted the majority of the country over the last few days appears to be over.

It will be much drier during the coming week, but we will see the odd shower, particularly across the south and east coasts.

Temperatures in the first half of the week will hover around 9 to 11 degrees, but will struggle to rise above 5 during the second half.

At least, there is no sign of severe cold weather for the time being.
