The penny has finally dropped for the outgoing Taoiseach, Enda Kenny.

Having spent the weekend desperately ringing every Independent TD trying frantically get enough numbers to cling to power, Enda Kenny has finally started to see the wood from the trees that he will no longer be the Taoiseach of the country.

“The indications are that there will be no Taoiseach elected on Thursday”, Kenny told reporters this afternoon in Brussels.

Kenny made the statement after allegedly being told “No dice” from independents after promising high profile politicians prominent roles in cabinet.

Kenny is in Brussels as acting Taoiseach in talks over the migrant crisis.

Meanwhile, people here in Ireland are claiming all parties are a disgrace for not making a better effort to solve the uncertainty of the next Dail.
