Enda Kenny’s rule for the rich and famous will likely come to an abrupt and unceremonious end on Thursday, as it’s becoming increasingly clear that neither he nor Micheal Martin can muster enough support on their own to become outright Taoiseach.

If this comes to pass, Kenny will be marched to the President’s office and be invited to resign. In this scenario, he would remain as the head of a caretaker government until a new leader emerges.

Despite late pleads for support to independents, Enda Kenny is likely to be left standing on its own before the Dáil on Thursday.
