We’ve had an extremely mild Christmas with daytime temperatures reaching staggering heights for this time of year reporting 12c in places.
However it might be time to get out the thermal vests as the national forecaster, Met Eireann has warned that conditions similar to the ones that gave rise to the now infamous Beast from the East are developing.
In other words, weather might get a lot colder over the next few days, especially in early January.
The weather agency is monitoring conditions closely, and will update in due course on whether we’re in for another beast from the East type of storm or if we’ll manage to avoid it.
