The European Commission are expected to sign a contract later today that will see the continent being provided with 300 million Covid-19 vaccines.
It is understood that European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen will sign off on a deal that will see every member state gain access to Pfizer and BioNtech’s vaccine when it becomes available.
Under the agreement the commission hopes to provide vaccines across the continent fairly quickly.
The agreement will mean that the commission will have signed on for a fourth potential vaccine after agreeing three previous deals with pharmaceutical companies earlier this year.
