Facebook has announced that it will begin removing false claims about new coronavirus vaccines after it was revealed that jabs could be rolled out next week.
The social media giant will remove what it deems to be misinformation, including claims that vaccines contain microchips or anything else that is not on the official ingredient list, but has warned that it will “not be able to start enforcing these policies overnight”.
In October, the company announced that it would ban ads that discourage people from getting vaccinated. This will now also apply to new Covid-19 vaccines.
