FAI revealed to be in debt to the tune of €55m, while ex-boss John Delaney was awarded a severance package worth €462,000

The Football Association of Ireland (FAI)’s accounts are deep in the red, to the tune of €55m, the Irish Mirror reports.

But while the organization struggles to survive, its ex-boss John Delaney was somehow able to walk away with a severance package worth €462,000.

The future of the FAI is now in serious jeopardy, particularly after a number of big names confirmed that they will not renew their sponsorship deals, which are worth millions to the FAI
