Veteran rock band Metallica made a donation of €35,000 to a homeless charity in Ireland in recent days, just ahead of the band’s sell-out gig at Slane.
The donation was made in the name of the Capuchin Day Centre in Dublin.
The Irish Government, itself known to do next to nothing for the homeless, has not acknowledged the kind gesture made by a foreign band on behalf of disadvantaged Irish citizens.
