Families who accommodate Ukrainian refugees in their spare homes, rooms, sheds, or any other housing might be in line for payment.
According to the Government, up to 30,000 refugees might be in Ireland by next weekend, and accommodation is running out fast. It is understood that refugees might be routed into warehouses across the country.
The payment scheme has not been confirmed, but it might amount to about €100 a week. Proving accommodation, food, heating, utilities, etc. to entire families of refugees would be bound to cost many multiples of that.
