Family members come together at ceremony to honour Ireland’s missing people




It was a day of remembrance in Farmleigh Dublin this afternoon as a large group of people gathered to honour missing loved ones for National Missing Persons Day.

The event which is held on the first week of December every year seen hundreds of family members come together to honour those who went missing in recent years.

In an event which is held to heighten public awareness there were a number of musical and personal tributes to those who have never been found.

The ceremony also seen family members of both those who have been found and those grieving for their missing loved ones pay tribute to those who went missing.

Family members also lay floral tributes whilst homing pigeons were released following the ceremony.
