There was some great news this week as the brave young girl known as ‘Tiny Dancer’ Lily-Mae Morrison has officially started school after her long battle with cancer.
Young Lilly-Mae who was diagnosed with neuroblastoma, a rare and aggressive cancer 2012 and is now cancer free, started her first day of school yesterday morning and her mother Judith couldn’t be happier as she posted photos of her brave young daughter and her son Evan getting ready for school on the family’s fundraising Facebook page recently.
An emotional Judith wrote: “It’s just unbelievable how far she has come.” A clearly overjoyed Judith went onto say when little Lilly-Mae was diagnosed with cancer in back June 2012, we never dared to dream we’d have a ‘firster’.
Young Lily-Mae is now currently in her fourth year of life-saving clinical trials, and after undergoing several rounds of chemotheraphy and medication over the last number of years brave Lily-Mae was declared cancer free earlier this summer.
Although Lily-Mae is still receiving treatment and has ten weeks left on her clinical trials, the Morrrison family couldn’t be happier as their little girl can now live her life to the fullest without being terminally ill.
