Far left TD Aodhan O’Riordain to run for European Elections – many fear he would help impose even more hate speech laws

Labour TD Aodhán Ó Riordáin has announced his intention to seek his party’s nomination to run in the upcoming European elections, reports Breaking News.

He represents Dublin Bay North and has recently had a “visceral” reaction to the riots that occurred in Dublin city centre.

This reaction led to a “lightbulb” moment for him, causing him to reconsider his previous decision not to run for the European Parliament.

Mr Ó Riordáin will be competing for the party’s nomination against Senator Annie Hoey and Fingal councillor Rob O’Donoghue next month, reports Breaking News.

Mr Ó Riordáin told the Sunday Independent: “You really get the sense that everything that had been creeping up has now exploded and I don’t think really we have enough leadership in Dublin to talk about Dublin on any level, on any platform at all,” reports Breaking News.
