Farmers blockade Aldi’s largest distribution centre in Ireland to protest against ‘unfair’ beef prices

A group of farmers is blockading Aldi’s largest distribution cenre in Ireland, over what they perceive as ‘unfair’ beef prices. Farmers also say that retailers such as Aldi are bringing down food prices even more, exacerbating the beef crisis.

According to farmers, beef prices here are out of line with those in the UK and elsewhere in Europe.

The protest, which is now ongoing at a location in Naas, is scheduled to last 12 hours.
